The Grosse Pointe Jewish Council
Welcome to the GPJC.

The Grosse Pointe Jewish Council is an organization that provides cultural, religious, social and educational activities, serving the Jewish community of the Grosse Pointes and other metropolitan Detroit east side communities.
Religious activities include rabbi-led Shabbat and High Holiday services, family Shabbat services and an annual Passover seder. We also offer a Sunday school and bar and bat mitzvah preparation. Our educational and cultural offerings include lectures, tours, demonstrations and other programs.
Our organization is supported by annual membership dues, tax-exempt donations and modest fees for certain events.
Thinking about becoming a member of the GPJC?
We'd love to have you!
Being a member of the The Grosse Pointe Jewish Council is nothing short of exactly what you want it to be. Unlike many other synogoges out there, the GPJC runs as a social / cultural group for Jews in the community who are interested in adding Jewish elements to their lives. By providing religious services and social celebrations during all major Jewish holidays and Shabbat services scattered throughout the year, you can still feel part of a community without it feeling like an obligation. But that's not all, the social and educational activities are a big draw for much of our membership not to mention our Sunday School and Bar/Bat Mitzvah prep!
The GPJC offers both adult and family focused activities and services. Religious activities include rabbi-led Shabbat and High Holiday services and an annual Passover seder (a crowd favorite).
The GPJC has been serving the Jewish community of the Grosse Pointes and other metropolitan Detroit east side communities since 1990. And membership dues are next to nothing!!!
Our organization is supported by minimal annual dues, tax-exempt donations and modest fees for certain events.
Participate in as much or as little as you choose without the guilt! We'd love to have you.
